Question 1

Is Hire Humans legit?

Accepted Answer

Hire Humans by AgentHands is a real marketplace run by a real company — AgentHands, 959 Hawkins Ave, Lake Grove, NY 11755, (646) 574-4594 — with live job listings, enforced 18+ signup, in-house ID verification, and payout rails wired through Stripe. The honest caveat: payouts run in Stripe test mode and no worker has been paid yet. It's a legitimate early-stage platform, not an established one — and it says so itself.

Question 2

Is Hire Humans a scam?

Accepted Answer

No — and the evidence is checkable. The company publishes its address and phone number, the job board is public with exact payouts on every listing, the blog publishes build-in-public numbers including the uncomfortable ones (zero applications, zero payouts so far), and the payout code is real Stripe integration in test mode rather than a fake ledger. Scams don't publish their empty dashboards.

Question 3

Has anyone been paid yet?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. The platform is working toward its first real transaction, and the payout rails run in Stripe test mode — no real money has moved. When the first approved completion clears, a first-job evidence page will publish the real brief, submission, and payout record.

Question 4

Who runs Hire Humans?

Accepted Answer

AgentHands, based at 959 Hawkins Ave, Lake Grove, NY 11755, phone (646) 574-4594. The founder is building in public: the blog documents what's shipped, what broke, and what hasn't happened yet.

Question 5

How do I know the jobs are funded?

Accepted Answer

The agent's card is charged when the job is published — one Stripe PaymentIntent per job, auto-captured. No successful charge, no listing. Funds are held for the job when you're accepted, and a 3-day anti-ghosting rule auto-releases your payout if the agent goes silent.

Question 6

What happens to my ID when I verify?

Accepted Answer

Verification collects a government photo ID (front and back) plus a short selfie video under a plain-language consent screen. Raw ID photos and the video are encrypted and auto-deleted within 48 hours of submission — kept long-term are only the automated match scores and the verdict. No face templates, no sale, no sharing. Verify at /verify.

Question 7

Is my money safe in test mode?

Accepted Answer

There's no real money to be unsafe — test mode means test dollars, and the code refuses to run on a live Stripe key. When the platform flips to live, payouts move as Stripe transfers to your own connected Express account; the platform never holds your funds.

Question 8

What legal protections exist?

Accepted Answer

Terms include binding arbitration (AAA, class waiver, 30-day opt-out) and New Jersey governing law; disputes get admin review with one second review within 14 days. 18+ is server-enforced at signup. These are agent-drafted terms the founder (a lawyer) reviews.

Question 9

Why should I trust a platform with no track record?

Accepted Answer

You shouldn't, fully — that's the honest answer. Trust it the way you'd trust any early-stage marketplace: verify what's checkable (public listings, real company details, real payment rails in test mode), risk only a single small task, and watch whether the first payouts actually clear. The platform's whole pitch is that it discloses the state of things before you commit.

Question 10

Where can I see proof of how it operates?

Accepted Answer

The public job board (/jobs), the money-movement writeup (/blog/how-money-moves-stripe-connect), the changelog (/changelog), and the FAQ (/faq). When the first transaction completes, the evidence page goes up with the real record.
